cdn - Azure region based WebApi for mobile app -

i'm developing mobile app pushed world-wide across app stores. app uses webapi rest service backend have running on ms azure in europe (which backs onto database in europe).

my problem is, i'd create multiple azure webapi endpoints (i.e. australia, us, etc latency reasons), each own database has geo-replication enabled.

does know method/product/service use allows me app either:

  1. connect single domain behind scenes picks closest server user.

or

  1. the app able determine based on given list closest server , connect that?

i've looked @ azure cdn static content great need dynamic content.

what you're looking @ traffic manager. traffic manager enables exact scenario, of finding closest service hosts rest api.

keep in mind though, database replication (for time being) thing have yourself, although provide tooling , guidance on how.
